horsesHorses, polka dots, and heels….perfect for our first date night! Tonight (Sunday) is the night, we are (gulp) going to dinner without out little one.  My mom is awesome, and is watching Lydia…….granted this is only for an hour.  And we are going to dinner about 5 minutes away.  We will have other things to talk about besides the baby, right????

Thank you mom. Big time.  One of our goals before having this little one was to still do date nights once a week, we’ve missed the last 5…..but we’re back on track now!

Wish us luck, I hope we make it through dessert!

I saw your heels and fell in LOVE!

I hope that you enjoyed date night, you certainly look fabulous. It can be hard to leave the little ones for a while but a little time away will do you and hubby some good. I remember after my son our first date was to a sushi place and I wanted the service to be like McDonalds! FAST! All I could think about was my little guy at home, but once I relaxed [as best I could] I really enjoyed the alone time with my husband and in all actuality we were only gone for 1.5 hours tops!

So excited to be a Funday Monday cohost this week! :)

Aw, we don’t either! My mom is 3 hours away so this was a special treat! We are working on dates we can do at home while the baby is sleeping….or maybe going to do a swap with friends who also have a baby!

Honestly, I am so proud of you and your man for carving out some “we” time. It may seem so impossible before having kids that a couple can go 5 whole WEEKS without an evening alone, but alas that is the reality of welcoming another life into yours.

I don’t really remember the last time my husband and I had a date night….months… maybe it’s even been over a year!?

But I’m planning something super special for Valentine’s Day, and I really think we deserve a night where the conversation is not interrupted by the presence of our adorable son.
You look great! I love the way you down play those killer heels with a vest and your top is playful but also chic.

That Horse Sweater is too cute, Carly. I also super love the B+W Polka Dot Puffer Vest. So cute & chic, a little edgy too. Check out the post I linked up. As a new mom you will appreciate it – I promise.

Have a Great Tuesday. Ada. =)
