Oh, the end of a long weekend. A long weekend jam packed with driving, birthdays, family, and sun. Thank goodness for this kimono, easy pieces like this are perfect for getting from one event to another! We had two first birthdays on Saturday, one in Los Angeles and one in San Diego. Luckily, despite the usual Southern California traffic…..we made it to both with minimal hassle. The second was my nephew's and it was awesome to see family. It had been way too long since we were all together, and it was amazing to be out of town for a night. I realized as we were leaving, the next time I see some of them…..might be in the hospital with our baby…..so WEIRD! I still can't quite wrap my head around it. Guess I'd better, cause I think it's time to start setting up the nursery. My sister and her husband sent us home with a TON of baby stuff, and we are so thankful. I still can't believe the vast amount of stuff you need for a baby. Did our parents REALLY have all this? Slowly, but surely we are checking off the essentials.
Lately, I've been trying to stretch my wardrobe. I'm almost 7 months pregnant, and don't exactly have a million pieces to chose from. My new approach? Basic staples, like this black dress…..worn with fun accessories. Accessories will fit regardless! This boho styling is one of my favorite ways to style a simple black dress, pregnant or now. Come back Thursday, and I'll have a totally different look with the same piece!
